Kari Paakkinen

Kari has a Master’s degree. He has been working in libraries since 1980s. His main duty is to catalogue monographs and periodicals. He is also responsible occasionally for assisting and guiding of new co-workers. He also edits the National Repository Library journal.

Kari enjoys working in his current job: processed literature is diverse, from different centuries and languages. Main factors to succeed in his job are to be able to follow instructions, to be accurate enough and to tolerate monotonous tasks. He thinks that the National Repository Library has significant role among national information service organisations in producing metadata to the union catalogue and in offering remarkable ILL-services.
