Mervi Jaurto

I started here in 1977. At the time, the agency was called the Information System Development Unit.

I've worked in a number of teams here.

For the last few years, I have worked as a data file secretary in the crime team of the Civic and Government Services sector's Distribution Registers.

In my work, I use the RITU and RAJSA systems. I am responsible for the messages sent to the Distribution Registers inbox and the measures triggered by the messages. We get messages from the police, courts and private citizens, in addition to our own in-house Enforcement Unit. I also have a shift in telephone customer service. I like my work, and the workload is not bad.

Having a positive attitude means a lot in our team. We put our heads together, help each other out and learn from one another. We have a great relationship with the civil team in Distribution Registers.

In spite of all that is good about my job, I do find myself thinking more and more about my retirement.
