Finnish Transport Agency

Job descriptions at the Finnish Transport Agency include everything from transport expertise to operative traffic management and administrative tasks.

The Finnish Transport Agency is responsible for Finland’s roads, railways and waterways and for the overall development of Finland's transport system.  We promote an effective transport system, traffic safety and a sustainable development of the regions. Each year FTA spends approx. one billion euros on basic transport infrastructure management, i.e. traffic services, infrastructure maintenance and improvement.

The aim of the Finnish Transport Agency is to enable smooth, efficient and safe travel and transport. Our other objectives are to promote Finnish trade and industry and enhance Finland's competitiveness, and to make public transport the first choice both in urban areas and in long-distance travel.

We act in a responsible, effective and innovative way. We make choices which embrace sustainable travel and transport for the common good. We develop new intelligent transport services by utilizing information and new technology to achieve safer, smoother and more sustainable travel and transport.

The Finnish Transport Agency's offices are located in Helsinki (Pasila), Lappeenranta, Turku, Oulu, Tampere and Vaasa.

FTA's goal is to be an excellent workplace for professionals!
